NYE

What to wear on New Years Eve...the ultimate question we all face. This year I opted for a simple green and blacked striped dress from forever 21 with some jewelry from Urban Outfitters. I've really been digging the multiple necklace look. A little late to the game I know but its a cute, classic look that can tie an outfit together.  I topped this all off with black pumps and natural makeup with a statement lip fro Kate Rimmel.

All About the Arch

Let's talk about eyebrows. They make or break a face and right now big powerful eyebrows, much like Cara Delevingne's, are all the rage! Not all of us are that lucky so I've included some essential tools to both caring for and filling in your beautiful brows. It's ok to add some darker color to them but don't go too crazy. I use the Gimmie Brow brow gel in light and comb from e.l.f.  If I'm spending more time getting ready I'll also use a primer from Anastasia.

Hair care

My routine is simple.  No heat because I don't have the time but generally I just braid at night with some cream in it them ocean spray the ends in the morning.  I also got a new straightener which works wonders.  It skips the phase of fizzy straight and goes right to silky!

Naturally my hair is frizzy with big curls that are more frequent in the front then the back (because in the back its heavier and longer and takes a while to dry).  So when I leave it to dry naturally I make sure to put in product.

Skin Routine

Your Skin is the most important part of your body to maintain. You can go without doing your hair ( though it's not always pretty) or cutting your nails or trimming your eye brows but your skin is so important. I had some acne issues As a teen, but don't we all, so most of what I use is for sensitive skin and oil free.
I use purpose soap to wash my face both day and night. For face cream I use CeraVe which has both moisturizer and sunscreen, which is very nice to have because you don't have to think about it.

For make up I go pretty light and natural but do use the essentials:
Concealer from elf
Powder from neutrogena.
I'll also generally put on some mascara (from almay) and maybe some white eye liner but, that's it

New Year's Eve

Probably the biggest party night of the year is New Year's Eve and planning the outfit becomes half the fun!  This year I'm thinking of doing something a little different, spice it up.  Generally I go with a little black dress and statement necklace and that's it, but let's see what I can pull together this year!

That California Style

So I'm on a plane to Cali and couldn't be more excited!  This cold dark weather is getting me down so I'm ready for something new and the holidays are coming up which is so exciting!!! Can't wait to put together my outfits for them!

But for this warm weather style I'm putting together a few of my favorite pieces for the California sun.  This isn't an outfit but I'm sure you guys are savvy enough to pull something together :)

Travel in Style

The airport and whole transit process in general can be super stressful and style isn't your first priority but that doesn't mean you suddenly have to look like a slob.

Here are some of my travel essentials for comfort while keeping it cute!
The headphones are comfortable enough for long flights because they go over your ear and I'm loving the navy green.  I paired that with a navy (ish) green coat because planes can get chilly.  I always take a beanie because when the hair goes down hill it's a great thing to throw on.  And of course, a camera because traveling is so much fun and should be documented.
